Pastels are a Spring/Summer (even during Fall/Winter!) staple color and my favorite pastel shade just lies somewhere between the rich saturated dusty rose and the classic neutrals of light cream. Yep, you’ve guessed it right, blush pink! This sophisticated feminine hue has been making waves for quite some time now. From fashion shows, red carpet looks, to Instagram feeds, style savvy fashionistas and retail stores, it’s no doubt that the subtle romantic touches of blush adds a light dreamy feel to any ensemble.

Elegant Meets Casual Chic

Because it’s such a beautiful muted tone, blush pink makes a lovely pair with dark colors as it softens the look of your entire outfit and is a great transitional color from winter to Spring.

To balance its charming power, pairing it with dynamic color partners like navy, charcoal, gray, black, burgundy, teal and emerald will provide some sort of visual contrast to the otherwise pretty pale pink look.

Blush is a very ladylike shade and to anchor the lightness, you can wear it with your favorite, faded boyfriend jeans and adding in some glam accessories or baubles for that elegant meets edgy combo. Take it from fashion blogger Jessica Ann Kirby on how she styled her blush pink blazer with laced up heel sandals and ripped jeans for a sweet yet casual laid back getup.

Another way to upgrade your looks is by pairing your precious blush pink with prints and textures. Check out this darling getup put together by Jean Wang of Extra Petite. She paired her blush pink ruffled blouse with a light chambray-tweed blazer, patent pumps and basketweave cotton floral skirt.

Delicate and Dainty Diva

Pastel shades are airy and calming, and blush pink certainly fits seamlessly in this spectrum of soothing colors. If you prefer a more delicate and polished look, try teaming up blush with other pastels or light neutrals.

See how Jessica R. of of Hapa Time looks so regal with her blush pink lace pencil skirt and lavender suit jacket. She kept her accessories to a minimum with a dainty necklace and wrist watch.

Smize and Accessorize

The perfect alternative to ease into the blush look is through your accessories. Donning an all-black ensemble? You may glam it up with a blush pink scarf or tote bag. Here are few of my favorite blush pink bags that you can inject in your own getup to instantly brighten your transitional look this Spring.

The key to creating that perfect get up to go along with your blush shoes is to make it the statement piece of your entire outfit. Your favorite eye-catching street style outfits get an instant Grace Kelly-esque update when you finish it off with these blushing beauties.
