Cozy up with this soothing autumn music playlist for those crisp mornings and scenic parkway foliage drives.

There’s something about the autumn breeze and leaves turning into subdued palettes of brilliant orange and scarlet that make even commuting to work a wonderful experience. The radiant warmth of the fall colors truly evoke a well earned rest that gives way to awakening and rebirth. It may be paradoxical but the chill brings in that warm fuzzy feeling of happiness inside me as I tend to be stirred into an annual renewal of my poetic self.

Nothing soothes my soul than spending my favorite season in the company of books, candles, coffee and music. Although I pretty much listen to songs from indie bands all year long, they’re particularly even more beautiful and relaxing to listen to during this time of the year. Whether you’re hiking up the trails for some foliage magic or cozying up to a good book, here is a list of some of the slow, fragile and heartfelt tracks I listen to as we enter into a reflective and sentimental state of mind this Fall:

Start of Time – Gabrielle Aplin

Falling Autumn – Alayna

6 Words – Wretch 32

Passion Play – William Fitzsimmons

Poison & Wine – The Civil Wars

fallingforyou – The 1975

 ILYSB (stripped) – LANY

Miles Apart – Nick Wilson

Lift me up – Mree

Salvation – Gabrielle Aplin

Winter’s Coming – The Narrative

Eyes Closed – The Narrative

1901 – Birdy
