DIY: Easy Leather Wrap Bracelets (+Giveaway!!)

Hi guys! Welcome to the first project in my DIY series!

Summer may be over soon but bracelets would have to be one of my favorite accessories, no matter the season. The bracelet we’re making for this DIY project was inspired by Kidada Jones’s own line of accessories for Disney Couture where she used characters from famous and well-loved Disney movies as charms.

I used to make these leather wrap bracelets years ago and sell them in school. I love how you can personalize the charms to your own liking or theme. What’s more they’re great as gifts too! Have an ocean-obsessed friend? Customize her bracelet with a leather cord in turquoise and throw in some seashell and seahorse charms!

They’re also super easy to make and quite relaxing too. Clear a bit of your desk space and let’s start making! (+ a special giveaway towards the bottom!)

Supplies you need:

leather wrap bracelet

  • Grab three colors of the suede leather cord you want to use. Since you will be braiding cords together, you will need approximately 3 yards for each cord.
  • Dab glue to the ends and with your pliers, attach the clasp to seal them securely.

Now you can start braiding! Attach tape to the end so the strand doesn’t keep moving while you braid.

Keep braiding until you have one long strand of braided wrap bracelet that fits your wrist.

  • Do the same with the other end – dab glue and attach the clasp.
  • Next is to connect the ring to the end of the clasp.

For the fun part: Start attaching your charms to the wrap bracelet!

It’s that easy! I’ve always been the “why-buy-when-you-can-DIY” kinda person and I can’t wait to share more creative DIY projects with you guys!

What a great little DIY! I’m all about the simple DIYs that end in a chic result. Could I just as easily do this with a non-leather strap (I’m a vegetarian)? I don’t see why I couldn’t. 🙂
